The FINAL Countdown!!

Here we are!! Thursday. People are arriving in town, family is getting together and the last of the gathering of items is happening. It's allll coming together. We can't wait for everyone to come join us Saturday in the park. We're very excited.

The house at Peralta is abuzz with preparations, but we also took time to update the blog.

Here's the quick recap:

• Check the DIRECTIONS tab for downloadable routes and a map 
• Check the CAMPING tab for a reminder of what that's all about
• It's a real wedding!! Please wear something nice (save the jeans and sneakers for the campout)
• It's a real wedding!! There will be food!! And water! and drinks! and bathrooms! and chairs! and shade! and music! HOORAY!!
• There may be FOG in the afternoon. The last few days it's rolled in around 4:30pm and the temp can drop 8-10°. Bring something to cover yourself just in case.
• Ladies: don't wear heels! The lawn might not agree with them.
• If you're camping we will have a baggage drop for you in the parking area. Please label your gear ahead of time. Don't forget a change of clothes. We'll have a caravan to repark your cars (no cars can be left in the park after 10pm) and we'll have a van to shuttle you back to the campsite where your gear will be waiting. Awesome, huh!?
• If you're not camping but want to hang until 10PM, leave your car at the reception site and we'll ferry you up to the after party/camp site
• There is not great cell phone coverage in Tilden. Download or print the map & directions ahead of time. There will be signs up in the park directing you

Invitations!

Our invitations are done!

We're really excited to send these out. We've been working really hard on something special and with the help of Hillary's sketching, Jamie's photoshopping, and our friend Ryan's illustrating, we're sending something great out this week.

We hope people take a second to send back the reply card and let us know if you're coming, staying the night, and who you're bringing!

Hotels + more!

We just made arrangements at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza in downtown Berkeley. They're giving our guests a nice discount on room reservations so take a look at the Hotels section for all the info.

It's a nice new hotel with the best possible location. Right on the BART subway system and in the middle of plenty to see and do in Berkeley and the east bay.

We've also started our gift registry at Bed Bath & Beyond and we'll be posting that soon. As some of you may know, we're in a process of redesigning and building up our home in Albany, so anything to help us fill (and furnish!) our soon-coming new place would be just so wonderful. Of course we want to make the kitchen great!

It's really happening!

Welcome folks! It's true, we're getting married this June. It's all very exciting for us. We're so glad to be able to share the good spirit with all of you as we ramp up to what we hope will be a great occasion and a wonderful start to the rest of the chapters to come.

We're still brewing up our plans for the 8th, but we hope you all are able to come to Berkeley and help us celebrate. And if not, no worries, we'll have many more opportunities to get together beyond the summer!

We'll be updating this from time to time and sending our blasts with the big info. Please help us by filling out this form so we can get some info from you, like your street address for our invitation.
