Location

We're excited to celebrate our marriage outdoors in a truly beautiful location in Tilden East Bay Regional Park, which is also super close to where we live and one of our favorite places to hike. While we'd like the day-time affair to be classy, the site is predominantly a large grassy and uneven in some places, so wear reasonable shoes (no heels!). It’s usually very lovely weather, but it can get cold so you'll want to bring a layer as well.

What to expect

Community and family are important to us, and we can't imagine anything better than a whole day surrounded by people we love. We're also planning lots of fun activities for after the ceremony, in true Tibbetts-Sardiñas style. After our ceremony we’ll have drinks and snacks set-up, followed by a delicious picnic-style luncheon catered by Bachesso’s, a great local mediterranean restaurant. We are taking into account all kinds of allergies and eating preferences, so we hope to have options for everyone!

After grubbin’ down, we’ll set out some games like frisbee, corn hole, bocci ball and badmitton! We can all laugh and play and just soak it in. A few hours before dusk, around 5 or 6pm, we’ll start packing up and get folks moved up to the Gillespie campground. Some of our friends have graciously offered to help with the transition, so we’ll make sure you know who they are so you can ask them questions! We’ll get everyone settled into Gillespie, fire up the BBQ and start grilling. Around sunset we’ll strike up the fire pit to keep us warm. And around 9pm, we’ll start dance into the night to the New Orleans style soul tunes of the The California Honeydrops. Afterwards we invite you to jam around the campfire, so bring some instruments! And in the morning we’ll share a great breakfast spread (that we’ll provide) and pack out!
